Today we raced a tough hilly stage from Martinborough to Masterson, where we are based for the next few days. This is my roomate, Leigh, in our new hotel room. This is our second hotel stop during the stage race, and I have enjoyed rooming with her at both places. She was so compassionate yesterday when I was sick, and even sat with me in the doctor's office all morning before the crit! Today she raced great, too! She scored some QOM (queen of the mountain) points, and is sitting pretty in the top 10.
As for me...I helped the team and am getting my legs back after my illness! Yay! I ended up chasing on the front of the peloton with some teammates for the majority of the race. It felt GREAT to contibute to a team effort after a rough start yesterday.
